16:27 – Simiyann

Recent course scorer SIMIYANN came clear of the rest when second at Chelmsford on Thursday and is the one to beat off the same mark if turned out again. Baileys Warrior is another at the top of his game this autumn and can give the selection the most to do.

17:00 – Corundum

This can go to CORUNDUM, who faced a tough assignment when fourth at Southwell a fortnight ago and is better judged on last month’s third. We haven’t seen Show Biz Kid since June, but he ran well on his final start for Richard Hannon and will be dangerous if he is in a similar form for his new stable.

17:30 – Outrace

At the top of the list is OUTRACE, who got back on track with a reasonable effort of over 9.4f here on Monday and remains well handicapped. Miss Dandylion has been shaping as though her turn is near and is second choice, ahead of Apache Canyon. Hitched and Harbour Vision won the two divisions of this race last year and also make the shortlist.

18:00 – Evocative Spark

Monsieur Patat should make another bold bid under suitable conditions, but he may find it difficult to cope with EVOCATIVE SPARK. The selection ran an eyecatching race here on Monday, on his third run for James Owen, and can take advantage of his lowly mark. Guiteau may prove best of the rest.

18:30 – Rosenzoo

Charlie Johnston’s ROSENZOO can enhance his good Wolverhampton record. Unexposed handicap newcomer Monsieur Fudge is a potentially dangerous opponent, particularly if the betting vibes are strong. Warren Hill may prove best of the rest.

19:00 – Ernie’s Valentine

Polling Day showed something to build on at Kempton last time, while Salamanca Lad, Secret World and Charlie’s Choice have been holding their form well.

Still, a chance is taken on ERNIE’S VALENTINE, whose recent form figures look uninspiring but who shaped with some promise last time and is clearly on a lenient mark. Visibility, nudged up just 2lb for a recent C&D success, may prove the chief threat.

19:30 – Arlecchino’s Gift

The solid contender is ARLECCHINO’S GIFT, whose C&D win six weeks ago has been working well. If there’s a fly in the ointment, it could be Saffredi who shapes as this drop back from 7f and 1m could be ideal. Third choice is Not Just Yet, beaten only narrowly two outings ago and now reunited with Saffie Osborne.

20:00 – Papa Don’t Preach

With doubts surrounding many of the field, this may be best left to PAPA DON’T PREACH. He was beaten at a short price at Southwell on Thursday, but even that run reads well in the context of today’s race. Street Life and Spanish Angel are dangers, but the main threat could come from the 3yo Macarone.

20:30 – Renoir (NAP)

Pysanka has been in good form since returning last month from a break and ought to be a tough nut to crack, but this looks good for low-mileage 5yo RENOIR (nap), who opened his account with a good C&D win a fortnight ago and has plenty of scope for further progress.
