13:50 Sandown – Cannock Park
I’m going for Cannock Park for Paul Robson. He’s not straightforward but he’s very talented. He won a bumper at Bangor last year and he followed that up with a win at Cheltenham in November. He’s a decent horse and his rating of 131 is workable.
14:25 Sandown – Ga Law
Quite a few of these are just below Grade 1 horses but I’m siding with Ga Law. He got outpaced in the Ryanair at Cheltenham and the drop in grade will suit him. He can get back on track here.
15:00 Sandown – El Fabiolo
El Fabiolo is in great form at home and he’s flying despite his Cheltenham mistake. I watched him during the week and I’m really happy with him. I’m expecting him to win.
15:35 Sandown – Amirite (each-way)
Willie Mullins has a few in here but I’m siding with Henry de Bromhead’s runner Amirite. I can see why a few are on him as he’s been crying out for the ground. He’s fresh and he hasn’t ran since Christmas. He’ll go well.
16:10 Sandown – Sir Gerhard (each-way)
There won’t be much between Impaire Et Passe and Langer Dan but they had tough races at Aintree. Willie has plenty of back up in Sir Gerhard and he could be a value each-way selection at a decent price.
17:20 Sandown – Sa Majeste
Paul Townend takes the ride on Sa Majeste, with Danny Mullins riding Gold Dancer. Sa Majeste disappointed in the Coral Cup but there’s a big day in him so I’ll keep him on side.
