16:10 Seven Brothers

Mumayaz will need things to drop right now back at a sharp 6f on drying ground and the likes of Northcliff and Libra Tiger may be better suited to the test. SEVEN BROTHERS is interesting down in class though with his last two runs suggesting he retains enough ability to play a leading role at this level.

16:45 Symbol Of Hope

On Edge appeals as the type to do better this year but whether back from a break is the time to catch him remains to be seen. Beyond Equal and Newyorkstateofmind can go well, while Ghathanfar (second choice) begins his campaign off a tempting mark and the fact he’s travelled down from Durham offers hope he’s ready to roll after 196 days off. SYMBOL OF HOPE might be worth chancing though as he too has slipped in the weights and his new stable has won this race a couple of times in recent years.

17:20 Patsy Snugfit

A novice won by the smart Relief Rally 12 months ago. Kaadi has the benefit of experience and she ran a promising race at Wolverhampton 12 days ago but it’s highly likely she’ll need to step forward to win this. Lady Lovebug, Liberty Bird, Piranha Rama and Miss Collada (second choice) look likely types but Eve Johnson Houghton has made another strong start with her 2yos and PATSY SNUGFIT is tentatively preferred.

17:50 Deira Mile

This looks a straight match between Castle In The Sand and DEIRA MILE. There probably isn’t as much between them as BHA ratings would suggest (27lb) but Deira Mile’s fine effort in the Group 1 Futurity at Doncaster does earn him the vote. Bobacious and St Mungos Park might prove best of the rest.

18:20 Rockit Tommy

Interesting handicap debutants ROCKIT TOMMY and Composite head the shortlist. The selection scored at this track when last seen and bids to maintain an unbeaten record, while the second choice is another 4yo who looks open to further improvement. Insanity, who may have more to offer back on the Flat, is third choice ahead of Sonnerie Power who shaped well last time.

18:50 Cock And Bull

The form choice is Kempton winner COCK AND BULL. Handicap debutants Spartan Warrior (second choice) and Arch Legend are interesting, while Walter Hartright could go well in the cheekpieces and Continuance may improve for the new trip.

19:20 Auric (NAP)

Shelbourne has more to come but the ground will be very different to Catterick and he could prove vulnerable. South Shore can do better back on a sound surface, while Miami Heat (second choice) should go well on his first run for George Boughey. AURIC (NAP) lacks experience for a race of this nature but he will have learned plenty from his Kempton win last month and he could have been let into handicaps lightly.

19:50 Theworldsnotenough

Hatadora would surely have gone close with a clear run at Kempton last week and she remains of interest off this mark. She’s drawn widest though and it could be worth taking her on with THEWORLDSNOTENOUGH, who hinted at ability in three 7f maidens at Wolverhampton and who is bred to do better over 1m and on turf. Morindoo, Sunny Corner and Palazzo Persico may prove best of the rest.
