Mistral Milly is sure to have entered several notebooks when third at Taunton in February and may provide the main threat.

With the form of his C&D success having some substance, GLANCE FROM CLOVER gets the verdict returned to this scenario. The Hereford factor also brings Pilot Show (second choice) and Family Pot firmly into calculations, while Has Troke and Mortens Leam cannot be dismissed.

The clear pick on hurdles form is MONTECAM, whose latest effort has been nicely franked by the winner since. Valentia is second choice, ahead of Native Moon and Scotch On Da Rocks.
16:42 – Inoui Machin
With a 2lb rise in his mark looking manageable, INOUI MACHIN (nap) could well follow up his solid C&D success. My Monty, who ties in with the selection, is second choice ahead of Legionar. Market confidence behind ex-French Lemoncello should be heeded.

A chance is taken on BRING THE ACTION, who isn’t particularly solid on recent form but has a good chance provided the new headgear works a treat. He is attractively handicapped. Nine Nine Nine (second choice) is respected back down in grade, while Kings Justice has possibilities if taking well to this venue. Caro Des Flos is no certainty in the hat-trick attempt, having never won when fresh.
