An absence of 100 days needs defying but BENEFICIALLY YOURS will have every chance if repeating the form of his Carlisle third. In a weak maiden the dangers are Give Me A Boom and Raceview Road, respected in that order.

Ann Hamilton’s HELLO JUDGE narrowly missed out on his final run and seems to be raising his game. Busty Boy has a good record fresh so he’s second choice ahead of Ritson.

Questions were left unanswered in the voided race over 2m4f here three weeks ago, but it looked likely that Glory Hights was about to notch his first hurdles win, with Scalloway Bay staying on and Askmore beating a retreat. However, the long-distance traveller RIVERS CORNER offers the solution to this finale. Syd Hosie’s runner boasts rock-solid form lines and can negotiate a further 10lb rise to complete the hat-trick.
