Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:50 Stratford – Schmilsson (Sunday Mail)

This looks quite competitive, and despite the claims of Playful Saint, who hasn’t run since finishing third in last season’s Imperial Cup, the choice is the progressive novice SCHMILSSON, with the in-form Milldam his most likely danger.

15:40 Taunton – Broken Halo (Ipswich Star)

First Lord De Cuet remains on a workable mark and will be a tough nut to crack if able to replicate the form of his big run in defeat at Market Rasen two starts ago. But preference is for BROKEN HALO, who posted a pretty good effort in last month’s Royal Artillery Gold Cup at Sandown and might still have untapped potential over this sort of trip.

16:10 Taunton – Lady Balko (Racing Post)

Some of these are still unexposed, but the most obvious answer is fast-improving mare LADY BALKO, who was completing a double when scoring over C&D last month. Confidence in The Midwife would be higher on slightly better ground, but she made a winning handicap debut over 2m4f last month and is open to further improvement over 3m. Outside Adesa and Mollie Brown are two handicap debutants to consider.

19:30 Wolverhampton – King Of Speed (The Irish Sun)

The market should be interesting concerning Pink Jazz, who is becoming better handicapped and has shown signs that he may be able to take advantage. Egoiste and Edmund Ironside should go well, but KING OF SPEED looks the one to beat, having won over C&D last month and performed just as well when runner-up at Southwell subsequently.
