16:55 Asgards Captain
Top of the list is the progressive 4yo ASGARDS CAPTAIN, who won here on his return last month and was a clear second under Fletcher Yarham at Newcastle last time. The main threat could come from Renesmee, who was an eyecatching third over C&D on her penultimate run and has Simon Walker booked back at this track. Another to consider is recent Newcastle winner Possible Ambition, who looks interesting on his step back up to this trip.
17:30 Harbour Vision
The vote goes to nine-time AW winner HARBOUR VISION, who has been knocking on the door here in his last two runs including a near miss over C&D last Monday. Breguet Boy was a comfortable winner at Windsor in October and he could be the main danger if he can pick up where he left off. The other one on the shortlist is Girl From Italy, who won two in a row on Tapeta in the autumn and looks interesting if she can recapture that form after a short break.

18:00 Colour Code
This looks a tight contest, with Siobhanbrogan, Spiritual Pursuit and COLOUR CODE all closely matched on the figures but the vote goes to the last-named who just about sets the standard on her near miss at Kempton last month and is open to more progress on this switch to sprinting. Another to keep an eye on is Charlie Johnston’s well-bred newcomer Midnight Call.
18:30 Sennockian
It’s hard to rule out any of these but the most striking contender is SENNOCKIAN, who is unbeaten in two 1m handicaps this year and could continue on the upgrade for Charlie Johnston. Ippotheos, who was a close second behind the selection 15 days ago, is feared most ahead of his stablemate Dr Foster, who won a Kempton novice in October and now goes handicapping after a gelding operation.
19:00 Doctor Vuby
There ought to be a fair bit more to come from Ziggy’s Missile this year but he makes his handicap debut after a five-month break and preference is for DOCTOR VUBY, who recovered well from a slow start to take second at Chelmsford last month and will be suited by the return to this C&D.

19:30 Darlo Pride
Gustav Graves has form figures of 2131312 since December and he’s strongly respected, but slight preference is for DARLO PRIDE, who has won four of his last nine starts and hit a personal best with his comfortable success over C&D two weeks ago. New Hope Bullet also enters the reckoning off a dangerous mark, while others to keep an eye on are the ex-Irish Sounds Of Spring and Derek Shaw’s Miss Belladonna.
20:00 Subaltern
Preference is for SUBALTERN, who put in a dominant display over 1m2f at Chelmsford last time and looks open to more improvement at this new trip. The main danger is Lunar Rocks, who caught the eye with her late gains behind the selection 17 days ago and should have more to offer on her step up to 1m4f.
20:30 Lawmaker (NAP)
Most of these have something to prove and this could revolve around the two progressive 4yos in the line-up. Upepo is 3-5 for Tony Carroll and was a close second over C&D last time, but preference is for the unexposed LAWMAKER (NAP), who returned from a lengthy absence with a convincing win on his handicap debut at Kempton last month.
