13:45 LIGHTKEEPER
A race that will change in complexion if Maroto gets a run which seems probable with Pharney Soldier announced a non-runner. Dual maiden hurdle runner-up LIGHTKEEPER has a lot less to beat today than Tullyhill or Mercurey and he can take advantage. Faulty is a definite contender if fit enough to do himself justice, while a market watch is advised on hurdles newcomer Military Alliance.
14:15 MAJESTIC FORCE
Only seven runners but a very interesting contest. Point winner Practice Run and long absent Don Chalant both fit that bill, while Big Stage is surely better than he showed at Naas. Dr Eggman sets a decent form standard but is not insurmountable, and it may pay to side with the de Bromhead track newcomer MAJESTIC FORCE, impressive in his sole point for Robert Tector.

14:45 GALA MARCEAU
Annalecka can probably be ruled out and there is not much to choose between Hispanic Moon and Saylavee, particularly in their meeting here in November. Despite giving away upwards of 9lb, it looks safest to side with double Grade 1 winner GALA MARCEAU to bounce back from her Doncaster defeat.
15:15 TAREZE
This has the look of a match between two point-to-point winners. TAREZE, with a recent second under her belt, may exploit the 8lb concession from bumper scorer Cuta Des As, making her first appearance since last April.
15:50 AODHAN MAY
Seemingly not much fancied when winning at Navan two weeks ago, AODHAN MAY has realistic prospects of going in again off 8lb higher. Duffy’s Getaway is enjoying a fine campaign and should be thereabouts. Cosmo Renfro and Kiln Time are others capable of getting in the mix.
16:25 SHANA CLOON
The five-year-old SHANA CLOON (nap) is more likely to be capable of improvement than many of these and may be suited by this rise in trip. A rematch of a recent clash between Silent Flight and Balum could have a bearing on the outcome, and Beau’s Candle is potentially interesting on this season’s points-to-point form.
16:55 COLCANNON
An interesting bumper. The Elliott newcomer Sermandzarak is of obvious interest while there may not be much to choose between Gowran second and third Harry’s Dream and Real Empire. A good standard is set though by close Naas third COLCANNON and he can go a couple of places better here.
