13:05 Intersky Sunset
Loads to consider in a huge field for the handicap hurdle which opens the card, with the narrow vote in favour of INTERSKY SUNSET. A winner over further here in November, she again shaped well when arguably left with too much to do when a never-nearer third to Lissen To The Lady at Clonmel two weeks ago and she remains of interest from this sort of mark.
The Truant, who finished well for second at Limerick last time, and Benjis Benefit, who’s having his first start for Emmet Mullins, are others of interest, with Champagne Mahler and Diamond Dollar another couple to note.
13:40 Captain Cody
CAPTAIN CODY achieved enough in bumpers last season, notably when sixth at the Cheltenham Festival, to suggest he should have a bright future over jumps for Willie Mullins and this two and a half mile contest, which shouldn’t take much winning, looks an ideal starting point for his hurdle career given the stamina in his pedigree.
La Vega Moon, who has shown the most among those with hurdling experience already, and Backtonormal, another with winning form in bumpers, can battle it out for the forecast spot.

14:15 Farouk Dalene
Just the five runners for the Galmoy Hurdle but little to choose between them on their best form. FAROUK DALENE matched his very smart chasing form on just his fourth outing over hurdles when second in a strong-looking Pertemps Qualifier at Leopardstown over the Christmas period and, with the performance backed up by the timefigure, he’s selected to go one better. Thedevilscoachman, another who has been chasing, and Ashdale Bob, who was third in this race two years ago, are feared most in an interesting renewal of this Grade 2.
14:50 Dunboyne
Another fiendishly competitive renewal of the Thyestes, one of the most prestigious handicap chases of the season in Ireland, and last year’s runner-up DUNBOYNE is taken to go a place better on the back of a satisfactory return in the Troytown a couple of months ago when fourth to stablemate Coko Beach in a finish dominated by Gordon Elliott runners.
Willie Mullins/Paul Townend combined to take this twelve months ago and Glengouly may emerge as the main threat, with Shantreusse, Angels Dawn and Bronn another handful also worth considering.
15:25 Ho My Lord
HO MY LORD found only smart stablemate Il Etait Temps too good on his chasing debut at Thurles and then looked sure to be placed behind Arkle favourite Marine Nationale had he not unseated at Leopardstown last time and, while there is clearly room for improvement in the jumping department, he’s worth chancing to open his account in this sphere. Saint Felicien, placed behind a couple of smart types in his two chases at Navan, and Ho My Lord’s stablemate Tactical Move are obvious dangers.

16:00 Billy Lee Swagger
Preference is for Philip Rothwell’s bottom weight BILLY LEE SWAGGER who upped his game significantly when beating a big field in very testing conditions in another conditional jockeys event at Punchestown last month and remains unexposed in a career that’s barely four month old.
The hat-trick-seeking Don’t Talk, who has been much improved for the fitting of a tongue tie, and Nathan Wells, who has his first start in a handicap for Gordon Elliott head the list of dangers.
16:30 Its A Blue Moon
All of these four-year-olds are making their debuts in this bumper but ITS A BLUE MOON looks the most likely type on paper, hailing from Gordon Elliott’s yard which has a fine record in such events, and the son of Teofilo out of a fairly useful Flat winner gets the nod. Joseph O’Brien’s runner Samyr and Pavilion End, who’s the mount of Patrick Mullins for Charles O’Brien, are also of interest in a race where the market may prove the best guide.
