Blackstone Cliff went off too hard last time over 1m4f but did well to hang in as long as he did and could go close back in trip , despite a wide draw. Curzon Queen could go well at a price.

Well-backed on his course debut in November, LUCKY QUESTION (nap) never looked likely to justify that support but ran on well enough from off the pace to suggest he has one of these in him. Dangers include top-weight Darkened and Moondharrig, while second reserve Nyota is one to note if getting a run.

Though up 9lb in total for two C&D wins COMFORT LINE remains well enough handicapped relative to his old form. Over this trip he may have the measure of another in-form runner, Old Peculier who has a 7lb penalty for Friday’s 1m4f win that backed up a victory over the extended 1m2f. Rhodesia is a potential dark horse.

Running from out of the handicap here last time, AMERIGO VESPUCCI has a realistic chance based on a previous third place at the venue. Gregorina had three of these rivals behind when fourth here last time and may feature now along with Mary Bagot who finished sixth.

A competitive heat in which IRISH RUMOUR is taken to get off the mark now dropped in trip. Theriverrunsdeep is a specialist at this trip, remaining in fine form and holds an obvious chance although the draw hasn’t been kind to her. Little separates Below Deck and Havana Notion on recent 5f form, the former likely better suited by this trip, while Poets Pride is another to consider.

A longstanding maiden MY GIRL SIOUX needs things to fall right and slow starts have compromised her chances of late but she may be worth taking a chance on here at a fair price. More obvious claims are held by the likes of James Henry, Jazzy Dancer and Zig Zag Zyggy with The Fog Horn a potential improver.

If maintaining the progress shown here on his last two visits TARSUS will be hard to beat. There was an excuse for Mint Man in the maiden won by the selection, and he can be rated a danger on his previous second place. Other possibilities are Manhattan Dreamer and Perfect Judgement.
