13:07 Katate Dori

Not too many are likely to count in this opener. Billy Boi Blue is second choice after running well behind a Henderson hotpot at Kempton and both the downgraded Genietoile and the unexposed Juventus De Brion command a second look. However, there’s a suspicion that bumper winner KATATE DORI has yet to do himself proper justice over hurdles.

13:37 Crystal Moon

Lindisfarne is 5lb lower than when placed on his chasing debut in 2022 and he may not have been suited by the soft ground when returning last month from a long absence. He could still have untapped potential over fences but preference is for CRYSTAL MOON, who ran well for a long way when placed behind a progressive winner on his seasonal debut and will appreciate today’s ease in grade. Ya Know Yaseff and On The Platform also have possibilities.

    14:07 Imperial Jade

I Look How I Look makes her handicap debut from a lowly mark and will be feared if strong in the betting, while Bombay Sapphire ran considerably better than the bare form suggests on last month’s seasonal return and is another unexposed one from a top stable. However, the suggestion is IMPERIAL JADE, who moves up in trip after a promising seasonal/handicap debut in higher-grade company at Doncaster. Super Dawn has her first run for up-and-coming trainer James Owen and is another for the shortlist.

    14:37 Ballybeen (NAP)

The downgraded BALLYBEEN (NAP) again did precious little wrong when only narrowly failing to make all at Chepstow and this could be his day. Imac Wood is hard to knock in his current vein of form and School Days Over can also make his presence felt.

    15:07 Mister Marbles

An open handicap. Famoso has found some consistency and should be on the scene once more, while Passing Reflection (second choice) could be helped by this drop in distance. The suggestion is MISTER MARBLES, who is on a good mark for this level of competition (first run in a Class 5) and was prominent in the betting when departing early on his recent stable debut.

        15:37 Moonlight Artist

This looks competitive for a Class 5 handicap. A Dublin Job can do better for Harry Derham, Arctic Footprint looks to have turned a corner judged on her win at Ffos Las, while Market Rasen winner Major Fortune (second choice) is coming along nicely. However, MOONLIGHT ARTIST was possibly unsuited by the heavy ground at Aintree and yet he still ran well behind Saturday’s Warwick runner-up Kyntara.

        16:10 Jacobin

The two standout contenders are JACOBIN and King Of Tara. The latter was beaten by a Nicholls horse last time and it may happen again. Jacobin carried his head a shade high up the straight at Chepstow but it never halted his momentum in chasing home a nice prospect with the pair dominant. Mokoro is a newcomer who could have something to say.
