12:00 – Musical Mystery

MUSICAL MYSTERY has taken his form up a notch since joining the Ed Dunlop stable, winning three of his first four starts and then proving at least as good as ever when filling the runner-up spot at Wolverhampton last time. He can line up from the same mark today and is sure to go well again back over the same course and distance as when opening his account on stable debut in August.

12:30 – Gloves

GLOVES shaped encouragingly when filling the runner-up spot at Southwell last time, doing very well under the circumstances to get so close after yet another tardy start had left her in a poor position. She is only 3 lb higher in the weights today and should be able to prove herself a well-handicapped filly if breaking on terms with cheekpieces fitted for the first time.

13:00 – Stintino Sunset

STINTINO SUNSET proved better than ever when getting her head back in front at Chelmsford last month, only winning by a length and a half but looking value for extra having come from further back than ideal. She was well on top at the finish and a 4 lb higher mark might not be enough to stop her in her follow-up bid if the longer trip can eke out a bit more improvement.

13:30 – Sarkha

SARKHA returned to form when finishing third at Newcastle last month and it’s surely just a matter of time before he regains the winning thread if building on that run. It’s still early days with the Philip Makin stable and he’s starting to look well treated judged on the pick of his form for Ed Dunlop, lining up here from a BHA mark of 56 having won off 62 as recently as May.

    14:00 – Buccabay

    BUCCABAY is holding his form well at the end of a busy campaign and he wasn’t beaten far in a blanket finish at Chelmsford last time, sticking to his task well having been prominent throughout. Still relatively lightly raced on the all-weather, he should be winning races this winter and this looks a good opportunity for him to get the ball rolling from a 1 lb lower mark than last time.

    14:30 – Aeroplane Mode

    AEROPLANE MODE very much caught the eye when finishing third at Wolverhampton last time, passing the post less than a length behind the winner and leaving the impression he would have gone closer still had he not been forced wide. The steady gallop was probably against him, too, but he showed enough to suggest he’s on a generous mark when everything falls right and is worth another chance.

    15:00 – Nature Watch

    NATURE WATCH shaped with plenty of promise when filling the runner-up spot on his debut at Wolverhampton a few weeks ago, keeping on well to make one with prior experience pull out all the stops. A couple of interesting newcomers feature among the opposition in this novice event, but Nature Watch sets a fairly useful standard and should take plenty of beating when you factor in his scope for more improvement.

    15:00 – Shalfa

    SHALFA made all to win at Brighton in September and she’s matched that form in a couple of subsequent starts on the all-weather, including when finishing third over this course and distance last time. There is no reason why he shouldn’t continue to give a good account and the booking of Taylor Fisher, who is decent value for his 3 lb claim, could give her an extra edge in a wide-open finale.
