17:00 Keep My Secret

Bradman (second choice) ran well when fourth in two Wolverhampton nurseries last month and can get closer to the target here if all goes to plan but the suggestion is nursery debutante KEEP MY SECRET, who moves up in trip after three encouraging qualifying runs. Moreginplease and Fly Pass also have possibilities.

17:30 Sir Les Patterson

It’s a difficult race to approach without the benefit of market vibes as the newcomers are interesting, none more so than the 500,000gns yearling First Alliance who holds an Irish Guineas entry. He’s dangerous to oppose as things stand, but SIR LES PATTERSON ran a nice first race at Kempton and he should improve on that. Luas also has strong form claims but he’s been off since July and now returns gelded.

18:00 Danielle

There are some interesting newcomers to run the rule over and it would be no surprise to see DANIELLE make a winning debut, with an eyecatching pedigree and the Gosden runners in good form. Midnight’s Dream and and Night Raider are others of interest. Of those with experience, Eastern Dream makes most appeal this time.

18:30 Snash

A very tight handicap. Bankrupt could overcome his wide draw and secure a fifth straight win, while Phoenix Beach could follow up if he’s on another going day. However, SNASH raced on a wing from stall 1 when disappointing at Newcastle last time, having landed some nice bets there the time before, and he is taken to bounce back. Thaki has shown his best form at the age of six this year and is feared most.

19:00 Enola Grey

Finery has to be respected given her effectiveness around here, even if she isn’t the only established front-runner in this field, but preference is for ENOLA GREY. She has a modest strike-rate but her Wolverhampton second last time out was franked by the winner back there on Sunday and the stable won this last year. With a couple in here who normally like to force it, recent Lingfield winner Achillea may have the race run to suit so she could provide the main danger. The lightly raced Roarin’ Success also makes the shortlist.

19:30 Blind Beggar

Ever-popular Lord Riddiford (second choice) and last-time-out scorer Bergerac are players but perhaps BLIND BEGGAR can make it 5-12 for Mick Appleby and 2-2 here. His win at Chelmsford last month was just about a personal best and he’s just 2lb higher here. Hiya Maite, who goes well fresh, is also considered.

20:00 Rubeus

The maiden Doublethetrouble, last month’s Wolverhampton winner Savvy Brilliance and dual course winner Kiss My Face all have solid form claims, but the vote goes to RUBEUS who is off the same mark as when only just beaten (clear of the third) by a subsequent winner on stable debut at Wolverhampton eight days ago. Handicap newcomer Barrel Aged, the well-handicapped Socially Shady and Natacata are others worth keeping an eye on.

20:30 Bohemian Breeze (NAP)

With a handy draw that can perhaps help him to be ridden prominently again, the improving BOHEMIAN BREEZE (nap) is taken to pick up a fourth career win. Back over this trip, Evening Story could be the one to give him the most to do, while Le Rouge Chinois is also of interest. Check the market for any support for Heathen on his first run for David O’Meara.
