Plenty are in with a shout. Tim Easterby has his string in great nick so his Barley is well worth considering, along with Yarmouth scorer Tarbaan and same course and distance (C&D) winners Bashful and Real Terms (second choice).

Irish raider FINAL CHECK hasn’t looked back since sent into handicaps, though, and she can follow up her recent Punchestown success with that form having been franked.

14:30 Likeashadow

Confirmed earlier promise to land 12-runner nursery here (7f) 17 days ago; LIKEASHADOW is up 3lb but he may do better still so is not taken lightly.

 

15:05 The Turpinator

A tight handicap and most have chances. Dare To Hope did well to win at Ripon but THE TURPINATOR wasn’t far behind him despite being isolated in the closing stages. The selection is worth persevering with at 6f and this stiff track will suit. Yorkshire is the dark horse and needs checking in the betting on return from an absence.

15:40 Victoria Falls

Vindobala was in a good mood when winning over C&D on Tuesday but she’s refused to jump off a couple of times this year and comes with risks on this second quick run.

The combination of the return to 1m and a career-high mark gives Bicep a bit to overcome and the vote goes to VICTORIA FALLS, who’s found a burst of improvement on turf lately. Star Shield and the lightly raced 3yo Create are two more with claims.

16:15 Ribble Rouser

None of the quintet can be ruled out but the vote goes to RIBBLE ROUSER, who should be all the better for his recent third here after a break and hails from an in-form yard. Maruna is feared most off the back of a promising debut fourth at Wolverhampton, although the returning Parish Councillor and Rooska also enter calculations.

16:45 Stoneacre Girl

Perhaps the return to 5f in a new form of headgear will prove the answer for Torvar but he’s often pulled hard and has had plenty of chances.

Elliott is another with obvious claims, having had four of these behind over C&D a fortnight ago, but he’s not best in under a penalty for his subsequent Wolverhampton win, and STONEACRE GIRL may be able to turn things round on much better terms.

 

17:15 Pepsi Cat (NAP)

Stone Of Destiny should go well again but his losing run stretches back three years and 38 starts. Rodborough has improved for cheekpieces going on and is respected, but this can go to PEPSI CAT (NAP), who’s got it together since dropped back to 5f.

17:45 Captains Bar

Elzaal has five wins, four seconds and three thirds to his name in 13 runs over C&D and arrives in form, so has to enter calculations, but CAPTAINS BAR bounced back to form here on Monday and is preferred under the penalty.

Star Of Lady M is well handicapped now, albeit she’ll be another 2lb lower from tomorrow, while a better showing from the down-in-class Runninwild wouldn’t surprise.

18:15 Bobby Joe Leg

An absolute minefield to close things out and it’s hard to get the shortlist down to a workable number.

Rogue Force is around a stone lower than when last seen on the all weather and is considered, along with Angel Amadea, who hit traffic behind Blame The Farrier over C&D last time, but BOBBY JOE LEG has four November wins to his name, including this race last year, and he’ll appreciate the drop in class.
