Cheltenham 2024 is five months away but Ruby Walsh and the ‘From The Horses Mouth’ team are giving the Festival plenty of thought to find you lucky lot some antepost winners.
The ex-National Hunt champion jockey has a long affiliation with the Willie Mullins yard and he’s given us brilliant insight into how Closutton will attack next year’s Festival in March.
When asked about who of Willie’s star-studded runners he’s excited to see, Ruby, who was speaking on our National Hunt season preview which you can watch on the Paddy Power Horse Racing Youtube channel, said: “I like Facile Vega and Mister Policeman, who could both be going for the Arkle Chase.
“Facile Vega’s pedigree suggests he can improve and he should be better this season.
“Mister Policeman is a decent horse and from what we expected him to do at Cork, we were marginally disappointed despite him still winning.
“He’s going chasing and he’s an athletic horse. Willie will have plenty of fun with him.”

Ruby also gave a special mention to Blood Destiny, who finished behind Lossiemouth in the Triumph Hurdle earlier this year.
“Blood Destiny looks set to go chasing too. He’s on springs and he could win plenty of races,” he added.
Ruby is also sweet on Fact To File, who won on his debut at Leopardstown before finishing second on the last two occasions behind John Kiely’s A Dream To Share.
He said: “I believe Willie is going chasing with Fact To File.
“I don’t know if it’s confirmed but he’s on the list for entries to chases in the yard! Unless he’s been put on the long list he should be chasing.”
