13:50 – Fascile Mode
The Tom Mullins-trained FASCILE MODE, who took on the unbeaten A Dream To Share twice after a debut win at Leopardstown, looks the clear pick in the absence of last season’s star bumper performer. Experienced Flat performer Barometer may give him most to do. Solo Flight has shown promise in two points and a bumper.
14:25 – First Dare
Having won with a bit to spare at Navan recently, FIRST DARE is taken to follow up off a 6lb higher mark and confirm the form with Banntown Girl. Dame Rapide makes a quick return after getting no luck in running at Fairyhouse on Saturday and rates a threat, along with Circus Act.
15:00 – Hereditary Rule
If suffering no ill effects from a poor run at the Galway festival, HEREDITARY RULE (nap) can take advantage of a hurdles mark 24lb below his chase rating. He was a runaway winner of a big handicap chase at the festival here in April and could have too much firepower for rivals such as Moonovercloon, Tom McGreevy and Gold Speed.
15:35 – Hercule Du Seuil
With four consecutive wins to his name since beaten by Senecia at Ballinrobe in May, HERCULE DE SEUIL is in a strong position to reverse the form. Lucid Dreams, who has done well this year after making belated start to his career and won with plenty in hand on his recent chase debut at Sligo.

16:10 – Conflated
Gordon Elliott, who has won this race in eight of the past 12 seasons, has three of the six runners. Despite reservations about his ability to produce his best form when fresh, last season’s Cheltenham Gold Cup third CONFLATED gets the vote to enhance that fine record. The former Gold Cup winner Minella Indo has a decent record on seasonal debut, including when winning at Tramore in January. Fighter Allen looks a forlorn hope at these weights but is fit and has a recent win on the board.
16:45 – He Fitz In
Unlucky at Sligo recently, HE FITZ IN has been raised 5lb but was clear with the eventual winner when crumpling on landing after the last with the race at his mercy then, so still looks well treated over fences on only his fifth start. Hascoeur Clermont looks the chief threat after a return to form at Downpatrick last month, form which has been franked since, while Likeable Chancer should again go well.
17:20 – My Great Mate
The quality of bumper MY GREAT MATE won at Galway surpassed that won by Fleur In The Park at Roscommon and Willie Mullins’ charge is taken to follow up. Beauforts Storm will be very hard to keep out of the frame for an in-form yard in a bumper in which not much else appeals.
