14:00 – Prepschool

An interesting opener and although we know more about PREPSCHOOL than chief rival Curran, he is very much on an upward curve and is taken to make the most of the 3lb he receives from that opponent. The Hun has been second to both and although he meets them on better terms, he’ll need to step up to prevail. Newcomer Agostino Masucci merits a market check.

14:30 – Invincible Molly

Having got off the mark at York last time INVINCIBLE MOLLY is selected to follow up on her handicap debut. Willolarupi, who was a good second on his first run since being gelded last time, looks her main threat.

15:00 – Eastern Charm

In a tricky handicap the progressive EASTERN CHARM is taken to bounce back to form after a lesser run last time by beating Indiana Be and her former stable companion Tobetso.

15:30 – Cinnodin

Despite a poor run last time the choice is CINNODIN, who stays well and is suited by soft ground. The in-form Dragonball Prince and veteran Black Kalanisi are others who should run well.

16:00 – Romilda

A wide-open handicap in which triple C&D winner Global Spirit has to make the shortlist, as does the unexposed Powerful Response who should relish the return to a track with a stiff finish. Cosmos Raj is another to consider especially if the ground dries out a bit, but ROMILDA is taken to make a successful handicap debut. The form of her latest Kempton fourth has received a couple of boosts since and her pedigree suggests this stiffer track should suit. Phoenix Fire, Golden Melody, Loddon and Sezaam are others who could make an impact.

16:30 – Lord Melbourne

An interesting maiden. Lope De Light has some respectable form but looks vulnerable to both Safety Catch and LORD MELBOURNE, who just gets the vote. The Crisfords’ representative was done no favours at the start on debut and his effort offered encouragement that he’ll improve for this step up in trip. Safety Catch showed marked improvement on her reappearance and given her allowance, is feared most.

17:05 – Russco

There should be plenty of pace on here, which might prove counterproductive come the business end of the contest for the likes of Havana Pursuit and Derwent Boy, who both go into this with claims. However, Doncaster winner Onemorenomore should be suited by a strong pace and should again be a player. However, better drawn than that trio is RUSSCO who is on a very handy mark, won’t mind conditions and is a sporting suggestion with a hood now tried.

17:40 – Heartrate (NAP)

C&D winner Sir Maxi is likely to make his presence felt, but HEARTRATE (nap) kept on strongly for a clearcut success on last month’s stable debut at Ffos Las and, with this stiffer track likely to suit, he can overcome a 6lb rise. Happier didn’t fire last time but she’s also suited by a stiff 6f and can feature if back in good form.
