13:55 Align The Stars
ALIGN THE STARS is a brother to the very smart Al Aasy and he showed plenty of promise amidst greenness on debut at Hamilton last month, making headway to lead two furlongs out but headed by another promising newcomer in the final furlong. That rival has run well in defeat since and Align The Stars looks a sure-fire improver, especially now moving up in trip.
Torrent is another who displayed ability on debut and looks the biggest threat.
14:30 Lattam
LATTAM has progressed well this season, doing remarkably well from the position he was in to win the Irish Lincoln on return and losing little in defeat in a strong race at Newbury on his next start. He quickly resumed winning ways at Newcastle next time and didn’t have much go his way in the Golden Mile over course and distance last time.
Ground conditions will be in his favour and he has more to offer from this sort of mark. He can get the better of Hafeet Alain, who is fancied to get back on track returned to turf and reunited with top apprentice Connor Planas
15:05 Harb
HARB ended a losing run in smooth fashion dropped to five furlongs at Sandown last week, impressing with how quickly he settled matters once asked to go win his race. He was placed off higher marks earlier in the year, so still looks well handicapped turned out under a 5lb penalty, and will be the one to beat if arriving in the same form.
Coco Bear did well on soft ground in the spring and is feared most with conditions likely to be in his favour.
16:40 My Prospero
MY PROSPERO was very progressive last season, winning three times and notably finishing third in the Champion Stakes at Ascot. He has shaped well in some top races without quite matching that form so far this year, but he ran his best race when beaten half a length in the York Stakes last time.
This represents a drop in class for My Prospero and he sets a very good standard on form, so it will be disappointing if he doesn’t open his account for the season. Sierra Blanca boasts some solid two-year-old Irish form and could have more to offer if ready to go for his new connections.
16:15 Les Bleus
A valuable event for two-year-olds and it is the Richard Hughes-trained LES BLEUS who looks the one to beat. She left her debut form well behind to open her account at Newmarket in July and she has run creditably in pattern company since, making the frame for the third time in a row in the May Hill Stakes at Doncaster last time.
The drop back to seven furlongs won’t be an issue and she looks the solid option. Adaay In Devon and Chic Colombine are both bidding for four-timers and also need considering on these terms.

16:50 Albany
ALBANY has an excellent staying pedigree and she shaped well in some strong races this season before opening her account with any amount in hand at Windsor last time. She didn’t need to improve to do so, but she easily stretched seven and a half lengths clear and she looks particularly interesting now moving up four furlongs in trip on handicap debut.
There should be much more to come from her and should prove hard to beat. Blazeon Five is in good order and ranks as the main danger ahead of Royal Mila, who boasts a progressive profile and is still developing.
17:20 Wind Your Neck In
There are plenty in with chances in an open handicap, but it’s possible WIND YOUR NECK IN was simply unsuited by the all-weather at Newcastle last time so the handicapper may have taken a chance dropping him 3lb as he’s now 6lb lower than when runner-up at Bath earlier in the year and he goes well with ease in the ground. Miss Bluebelle, Arthur’s Realm and Chips And Rice head the many possible dangers.
