Doncaster 13:50 – Royal Zabeel

War Rooms was impressive when winning at Doncaster on soft ground and Local Hero had a decent win at Kempton last month. I’ve ended up with Royal Zabeel for Kevin Ryan at a bigger price. He won on his second start at Pontefract by a wide margin. William Buick is booked to ride and he’s worth a chance.

Doncaster 14:25 – Inquisitively (NAP)

Inquisitively has been improving and he can confirm that at Doncaster. He was third behind Big Evs in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot and he won last time out at York. At the prices, he makes more sense than backing Big Evs.

Doncaster 15:00 – Coltrane

Coltrane sat behind the pace in this race last year but I’m not sure who’s going to set the pace this time. Coltrane only ran three weeks ago and he should have a fitness edge over Trueshan. If Oisin Murphy makes the running on him, he should have enough to win.

Doncaster 15:35 – Bague Dor

The Goat could go well under Oisin Murphy but I’m with Bague Dor, who returned after a long layoff to finish second at York last month. Going the extra distance to 1m 6f will suit him and I liked the way he finished at York. It suggested he had another good run in him.
