Under The Sun sets a good standard on his best form and he’s strongly respected on this step up to 1m. Show Biz Kid made a promising start at Goodwood last week and has claims if he can build on that, while there are several well-bred newcomers who need a close look including Ralph Beckett’s Move On In. However, the vote goes to WONDER, who was an eyecatching third on his Newmarket debut last month and that form has been boosted by the first two since.

It looked a fair race of its type that saw MITWAA and She Wore No Jewels fill the places at Newbury last month and they look the pair to focus on. Roger Varian’s colt can confirm his narrow superiority.
17:30 Baulac
Warminster appeals most of those with handicap form in the book but there are some interesting handicap newcomers on show. Done Decision and Minack (second choice) fall into that category but so too does BAULAC and he’s preferred. He hasn’t been given a hard time on his last two starts, meeting some trouble on each occasion, and he looks the type to take a significant step forward at some point.

Fact Or Fable’s metamorphosis from a strong-travelling weak finisher into a gutsy winning machine has been a feather in Stan Moore’s cap this season and he should make a bold bid for his sixth win of the campaign. On Edge and Salta Resta come here on the back of Chepstow wins and can also go well, while Moorgate still has more to offer as a sprinter. CORINTHIA KNIGHT (nap) appreciated the drop into Class 6 company when a good second at Chepstow 18 days ago and he can come out on top back on faster ground.
18:40 Trawlerman
The Gosdens’ TRAWLERMAN struggled at Meydan in his final run in the spring but he has leading claims on his progressive form at staying trips last season and should be hard to beat if he can get back near his best after a break. The pick of the other three runners could be in-form 6yo Berkshire Rocco, who gave it a good shot under a positive ride when fifth in the Ebor last time.

19:10 Scenic
Eleanor Cross was a strong-finishing second at Nottingham in her sole 2yo run and is open to progress upped in trip on her comeback. Al Anoud has a striking pedigree and made a good start with her Chelmsford win three weeks ago, while the Crisfords’ well-bred newcomer Lord Melbourne also catches the eye. However, it is hard to get away from SCENIC, who has some useful form in Listed events this season and should be hard to beat in a novice.
