Fortunate Star was a wide-margin winner at Nottingham in May and although he got hiked up in the weights, he has put in some decent performances since. He is going in the right direction and more improvement can be expected. He’s yet to race on faster ground which he gets at Catterick but it’s not firm and there is still plenty of juice in the ground. He should be going well.
Hurtswood was a winner at Ripon in June and he has been fairly consistent since. He was midfield in a much better race than this at York when last seen. He’s dangerous now he’s dropping back into a Class 6 with conditions to suit him.
Mutanaaseq won over course and distance nicely two starts back and he has run well since on the all-weather when a fast finishing fourth. He’s on a mark of 63 but his last win came by over two lengths, so that suggests there is plenty of room left in his mark for improvement. The step back up to 7f is a massive plus and he’s at a track he likes.
