Drink Dry has not been disgraced in two runs to date including in a decent class 4 last time out and he comes here with a shrewd trainer in Marco Botti, who is 3/6 at Brighton with his two-year-old’s in the last five seasons. There’s plenty of value in the price for a horse who’s open to plenty of improvement. He should be going close.
Brighton 16:00 – Al Azhar
1.5 points each-way
We’re happy to take Al Azhar each way. He’s a horse who comes here in good shape after his last three runs, where he finished third, second and then first. He was a good winner at Wolverhampton last time out after having back-to-back placed efforts at Salisbury. He handles the Brighton track and the race doesn’t look particularly strong. He should be well capable of dispatching of his rivals.
Yarmouth 17:25 – The Cola Brasil
1.5 points each-way
The Cola Brasil produced two very solid efforts in both starts so far since joining Henry Spiller. He was only beaten a neck last time out over course and distance. He gets ideal conditions again today and it looks like it’s only a matter of time before he gets his head back in front.
