Horse Racing Tips: A 12/1 play leads the way at Nottingham today

The Racing Post's tipster fancies Eva Rosie to go well at 15:10.

14:10 – Moyet

Foreign Exchange and Merrimack make plenty of appeal on pedigree and are likely to know their job. A win for either would be no surprise but it’s worth noting that both their dams were happiest on good or slower turf. MOYET shaped with some promise behind an impressive winner on his Goodwood debut, form franked by the second since, and he might take a big step forward with the run behind him.

14:40 – Master Chartwell

It wasn’t just the winner, St James’s Palace-bound Mostabshir, who makes the novice event contested by MASTER CHARTWELL at York four weeks ago look appealing form. He can build on that debut performance to win this ahead of Sealine and Emma Emilleen, who are preferred in that order. Others could still be capable of markedly better at this early stage of their careers.

15:10 – Eva Rosie

Honeymooner, Forever Proud and Bernadine were inconvenienced by the run of the race at Leicester last time and may be seen in a better light here. Of the three, perhaps Forever Proud is open to the greatest improvement and she’s high on the shortlist. Having been beaten 7l+ at odds of 100-1 and greater in her four starts, the omens don’t look too promising for EVA ROSIE but it may not be so cut and dried. Her Pontefract effort last month, where she met some trouble before making a big move in the straight, strongly suggests there’s some ability lurking and today’s drop in trip could see her take a good step forward.

15:45 – Lethal Nymph

An interesting race but the waters are muddied somewhat by a lack of obvious pace. That won’t play to the strengths of the well-handicapped pair Gulliver or Juan Les Pins, and with Another Romance returning from eight months off this may be best left to Temple Bruer and LETHAL NYMPH. The selection looked rusty on last month’s return to action at Windsor and could take a good step forward with that behind him.

16:20 – Bayraat (NAP)

Dolly Gray might not find it as easy dominating this field as she did in a small-field fillies’ event here last week but she found plenty there and the Topspeed figure backs it up. She’s respected, while Impeller, Sam’s Call and the unexposed Mine That Ship also have something to recommend them. This could be the day BAYRAAT (NAP) makes the breakththough though, with last week’s Wetherby second suggesting this mark is within his range.

16:55 – Hot Scoop

Coley’s Koko could go well back on turf, while Buddy’s Beauty offered more at Wolverhampton last time. Spanish Angel (second choice) has been threatening off his lower turf mark and ran well in a stronger race at Thirsk last week but it might be worth taking a chance on HOT SCOOP. Sam England’s sprinter is back to a handy mark and his latest run at Wetherby hinted at an imminent revival.

17:30 – Ice Shadow

Recent all weather winners Oscar Doodle and Storm Asset have to be considered seriously given this weak line-up and the latter, for one, brings fairly strong hopes of transferring that form to turf. He is second choice, however, with a chance taken that ICE SHADOW can get his act together with a win on this 13th attempt. He showed no shortage of stamina last time on his first crack at this sort of trip and today’s new headgear may help his rider to deliver the challenge. Bold And Loyal also brings recent recommendations from turf but he is 0-22.
