As regards the runners with experience, PASSIONATELY appears to have a leading chance switched to home soil while Hug A Tree is worthy of respect. Newcomers Ninety Nine, Rocket Money and Hot Front have good credentials, and any positive market moves should be strongly heeded.

19:20 – Harriets Angel

The shortlist is headed by the handicap debutantes HARRIET’S ANGEL and Sail On Silverbird in that marginal order of preference. The unexposed filly MUDDY LYNN is taken to reverse last week’s Redcar form with Red Astaire. Magical Effect should also run well.

With his Thirsk effort having major substance, JENEVER (nap) holds particularly strong claims. Rainbow Rain (second choice) and Autumn Flight were behind the selection at Thirsk but they are shortlist material in this weaker-looking field, along with Thank The Lord.
