14:25 – Foreseeable Future

FORESEEABLE FUTURE was fitter for his recent comeback and justified good support to resume winning ways over six furlongs at Ayr earlier this month. He had fallen back to his last winning mark and displayed a good attitude, making all of the running and always pulling out more when challenged close home. The drop back to five furlongs shouldn’t pose a problem and he seems sure to launch another bold bid. Ben Macdui and Canaria Prince can pose the biggest dangers.

14:55 – Valadero

VALADERO was an expensive yearling and shaped well on his debut when runner-up in the Brocklesby Stakes at Doncaster and he found only one too good again when running to a similar level at Thirsk last month. That looks strong form, with the third coming out and winning since, and a similar effort should see him hard to beat. Asadna and Strong Request are both likely types on paper and need monitoring in the market, but they will probably need to be well above average to beat Valadero.

15:25 – Market Value

MARKET VALUE is bred in the purple, being the fifth foal out of Ascot Gold Cup winner Estimate, and she took a big step forward from her debut on her return from six months off at Haydock recently. She was a little fresh and was still showing signs of greenness, though she wasn’t at all knocked about behind a couple of other promising types. The step up in trip is sure to suit her and she is well up to winning a race of this nature with further improvement forthcoming. There is a good deal of potential in opposition, though, with Beautifulasalways and Bosc Girl heading up the dangers.

15:55 – Mr Buster

This looks a very interesting three-year-old handicap and you can make a case for several, but it is MR BUSTER who makes the most appeal now making his handicap debut. He finished ahead of a couple of winners on his final start last year and shaped with plenty of encouragement on his return to action at Wolverhampton last month, just edged out near the line by another progressive type. That looks solid form and there is a chance that the handicapper has underestimated him with an opening mark of 80. Similar comments apply for Laser Guided, so he could be the one to give the selection most to think about, with Radetsky Marsch and Roaring Legend rounding off the shortlist.

16:25 – Pinafore

PINAFORE didn’t need to improve to open her account at Kempton in September last year, well placed in an average race, and she shaped very well on her return to action and handicap debut at Newmarket last month. She probably did too much up with the pace given the three that beat her all came from further back and she shaped like she is on a good mark. She is well worth another chance switched to a track that can suit prominent runners. Song of Success was a close fourth on her nursery bow at Lingfield on her final start and is feared most starting out for James Fanshawe.

16:55 – Tele Red

TELE RED was a two-time winner at around a mile and a quarter last year, recording victories at Pontefract and Beverley, and he shaped well when finishing midfield in heavy ground at Thirsk earlier this month. He probably did a bit too much too soon in testing conditions on that occasion, but he is now just 3 lb above his last winning mark, and has a more than capable claimer booked. The step back up in trip is also a good move and he looks the one to side with. Isle of Wolves and Little Ted head the list of dangers.

17:25 – Highfield Viking

HIGHFIELD VIKING took a step forward when scoring at Doncaster and is weighted to go close once again off just a 2 lb higher mark. Jack of Clubs is feared most if, as expected, building on his recent Thirsk fourth. Pontefract-third Hardy Angel is another who is in the picture along with Stormy Pearl and Lukla.
