Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Preference is for PERSIAN WOLF who could well improve a few pounds on recent form, as he switches to an apprentice event with the excellent Billy Loughnane on board. Devizes, assuming he doesn’t bounce, is feared most ahead of Crazy Maisie and Kanuhura.
Solanna, the second choice, has a good chance under a 5lb penalty provided he’s as effective back at Lingfield (has gained all AW wins at Kempton). Villalobos should bounce back if he settles better than last time but HOWHARD CAN IT BE is particularly solid on the back of two creditable C&D efforts.
After a good run against a subsequent winner last time out Gavin is worth considering, but it could pay to go with WEEBILL. who goes well here and has won two of his last four races.
The mare Karannelle was running well when last seen and is proven fresh, so could go well provided there isn’t too much rain. However, there are a few in here who could improve further now switched to handicaps, not least Good Friday Fairy and Double Click, both of whom come into this off the back of a win. However, another handicap-debutant KING’S CASTLE is given the vote with the form of his latest Taunton fourth having been boosted. Filanderer, He’s My Shadow and Good Impression are others to keep an eye on.
