ADAYAR was a top-class three-year-old in 2021 with victories in the Derby and King George. He was limited to just two start last season but showed he retains most of his ability when filling the runner-up spot in the Champion Stakes at Ascot, sticking to his task to be beaten just half a length behind Bay Bridge. That form is comfortably the best on offer in this Group 3 and Adayar is fancied to take advantage of the drop in grade to make a winning start to his five-year-old campaign.
FIRSTMAN enjoyed a productive winter on the all-weather at Dundalk, winning twice and then showing even better form when also filling the runner-up spot twice. He was last seen running over hurdles at Leopardstown in March, producing a career-best effort in that sphere to finish third in a big-field handicap. He clearly arrives here in a rich vein of from and a British Horseracing Authority (BHA) mark of 88 is unlikely to prove beyond him if he continues to go the right way.
QUEEN OF FAIRIES was strong in the betting and duly looked a smart prospect when making a successful debut at Southwell in December. She took a while to get the hang of things, but there was plenty to like about the way she put the race to bed in the final furlong, forging clear under a hands-and-heels ride to win by three and a quarter lengths. She is open to significant improvement with that experience under her belt and it will be exciting to see what she can do now up in grade.
PROSPEROUS VOYAGE filled the runner-up spot in the 1000 Guineas on this card 12 months ago and a deserved Group 1 success soon followed as she produced a career-best effort to land the Falmouth Stakes at the July Festival. That form is up there with the best on offer here and she has a physique (lengthy, deep-girthed filly) which suggests she could have more to offer as a four-year-old. She clearly goes well fresh, too, and another bold bid seems assured as she seeks a third career win.

TAHIYRA looked a filly right out of the top drawer when last seen winning the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh in September, travelling fluently throughout and quickly forging clear in the final furlong to win by two and a quarter lengths. That was the best performance produced by a two-year-old filly all season and the feeling remains that we’ve only scratched the surface of her potential. An exciting prospect, Tahiyra is fancied to see off old rival Meditate to make it three from three.
ON POINT is by leading first-season sire Blue Point, who has already made a significant impact with his first crop of two-year-olds. His dam, Devonshire, was a Group 2 winner in her own right and she has already produced a couple of talented performers, including 1000 Guineas contender Fairy Cross. The market should prove informative in a field dominated by newcomers, but On Point certainly has plenty to recommend him for the Charlie Appleby yard which won this maiden in 2017.
COOL PARTY ended last season with back-to-back wins, first getting off the mark in a maiden at Epsom in August and then defying a penalty to follow up in a novice at Wolverhampton in October. He was well on top at the finish on the last occasion, quickly asserting in the final furlong to win by a length and three-quarters. He now makes the switch to handicaps and could be well treated from an opening BHA mark of 84, with the step up in trip expected to eke out more improvement.
