13:50 – Micks Dream
Jupiter Express did pretty well for Michael Appleby on the all weather during the winter and could still have untapped potential over today’s trip but the suggestion is MICKS DREAM, who made an encouraging seasonal debut over 1m a fortnight ago and is well handicapped on some of last year’s 7f form. Masterclass was in good form over 6f at the end of last season and may also feature.
14:20 – Sister of Thor
This low-grade handicap won’t take much winning, so a chance is taken that SISTER OF THOR can take a step forward over this more suitable trip (based on pedigree) to score. Charlotte Square is another who may prove capable of better, while Steven Seagull boasts the strongest recent form.
14:50 – Junoesque
Seattle King eventually exploited some considerable help from the handicapper when scoring over 1m2f ten days ago and is unexposed over today’s trip but multiple course winner JUNOESQUE was making her seasonal debut when a very respectable fifth in that race and she gets the vote in the hope that run has brought her on. Urban Forest is a more speculative option to consider.
15:20 – Rich (NAP)
It might pay to focus on the unexposed 3yos in this interesting fillies’ handicap. Top of the list is RICH (NAP), who held her own in a good-quality all weather conditions race on her recent seasonal debut and may still have significant potential. Maid In Kentucky is untested on turf but the form of her all weather novice win in March reads well and she is feared most. Three Priests ran well in defeat on her handicap debut and may fare best of the older ones.

15:50 – Estate
Spartan Arrow ran a game race in defeat at Wolverhampton in September and is not opposed with any confidence but ESTATE did very well to be beaten under two lengths on his nursery debut, given he was shuffled to the rear in the early stages and then took a very wide route into the straight.
16:20 – Somedayonedaynever
SOMEDAYONEDAYNEVER on two of four all weather starts this year, more recently when close second at Wolverhampton (8.6 furlongs) in March, and is also suited by this course and distance; looks fully exposed off her basement mark but probably won’t be far away.
16:55 – Haveagobeau
The one with some potential is HAVEAGOBEAU, who was unlucky not to finish a bit closer to the target when fourth over 5f on his handicap debut in the autumn and might be seen to better effect over today’s longer trip. He could be hard to beat if he hits the ground running after his break. Minhaaj has slipped to a good mark for today’s stable debut and is second choice, ahead of Autumn Flight.
