17:30 Out Of The Stars
The market should provide plenty of clues but at this stage the vote goes to Archie Watson’s OUT OF THE STARS ahead of Richard Hannon’s Ziggy’s Phoenix, although Rogue Dream also needs a close look for a yard that had a 26% record with 2yos last year.
18:00 Annie Law
With the form of her C&D success having substance and further progress on the cards, ANNIE LAW gets the vote. Interesting handicap debutante Enborne is second choice, ahead of Phoenix Glow, Vasilissa and Topo Chico in that order of preference.
18:30 Yaanaas
Timeless Melody drops back in trip after a year off but she has leading claims on her promising second here last April and is a key player on her first run for William Haggas. Quantico (second choice) has a perfect record of 2-2 and is respected under a double penalty on his return, while impressive 2yo debut winner Orzo needs a close look on her comeback after a long absence. However, slight preference is for Roger Varian’s YAANAAS, who is out of a useful sister to a Group 1 winner and made a bright start with his smooth win at Newcastle last month.
19:00 High Court Judge (NAP)
So Chic got off the mark with a strong-finishing win at Wolverhampton last time and she’s respected on this step back up in trip. Kitaro Kich has claims if he can build on his solid third here two weeks ago, while there are several handicap newcomers who need a close look including Gold Aura and Starlight Nation. However, the vote goes to Henry Spiller’s progressive gelding HIGH COURT JUDGE (nap), who made it 2-2 in handicaps with his convincing win over C&D last month.

19:30 Arctician
This looks tricky but it might be worth sticking with ARCTICIAN, who has won from tough draws on Polytrack in his last two starts and looks a major force again. Second choice is Spirit Of The Bay, who is on a dangerous mark and went close over C&D on her seasonal return last year. Longlai needs watching in the market for a new yard, while Tollard Royal and Intercessor are also considered.
20:00 Lednikov
Top of the list is LEDNIKOV, who completed a double off only 1lb lower at Southwell in December and is a big player if he can pick up where he left off. Where’s Tom has finished runner-up on Polytrack in his last two starts and he’s feared most, although Silastar returned from a break with a promising run over C&D last month and he looks interesting for an in-form yard. Solanna has claims if he can find something extra at this new trip, while others who could be dangerous are Manor Park and Trojan Truth.
