15:35 Warwick – Red Rookie (The Punt)
RED ROOKIE is a low-mileage 8yo. Won bumpers and a novice hurdle in the mud. Chasing on last six starts, with a good third of eight in handicap at Sandown (good to soft) on latest. Should be competitive.
16:17 Naas – The Connector (Lee Sobot)
THE CONNECTOR gained a first win when stepped back up in trip at Punchestown last month. Handles softer ground and the 7lb rise potentially negated by promising rider’s 7lb claim. Ought to go well.
16:30 Hexham – Trevelyn’s Corn (Postdata)
TREVELYN’S CORN’s jumping wasn’t great over C&D (heavy) a fortnight ago but he nevertheless returned to form with that second to Ex S’Elance, and the first-time cheekpieces could help him find greater fluency today. Player.
17:30 Wolverhampton – Bascinet (Sunday Express)
All three of BASCINET’s wins were under Mia Nicholls this January-March, over C&D on final occasion. Has mostly been front-running and it didn’t pay off at Lingfield last time following a slow start. That was also only four days after his latest win (narrowly his shortest gap between races) so there are possible excuses. Big shout if he bounces straight back.
