This race should give a better indication as to how much ability Just A Deal retains after his absence and he’s a lurker, while Rostello and Twistedfirestarter also have something to recommend them. The pair to appeal most are the hat-trick seeking Ali Star Bert and handicap debutant BALLINOULART and the latter, whose connections have wasted no time in getting him into a handicap chase, should take a marked step forward today.
14:35 – Coastguard Station
File Illico’s latest second came in a three-runner event but it still represented something a bit more in keeping with last season’s progressive chase form. He could go well, along with the well-treated Joke Dancer, but COASTGUARD STATION has already proven better over fences than hurdles and he still has time to develop further in this sphere.

15:05 – Shes A Fine Wine
An interesting race of its type and SHE’S A FINE WINE is taken to build on a promising debut at Ayr. Fashionelle and Brendas Asking both produced encouraging debuts and look probable improvers, as does Daytona Beach (next best) after her Market Rasen effort. Sanda Rena looks the most interesting of the remainder.
15:35 – White Rhino
Leading Theatre is a solid marker and Bertie Blue looks a likely type for handicaps but WHITE RHINO (nap) has been in terrific form in handicaps and can make it three on the trot despite a steep rise in the weights.
16:05 – Presenting Belle
With wind surgery apparently having been a success, PRESENTING BELLE showed more at Huntingdon last time and is taken to go one better. Paddy’s Fancy can probably be competitive again and, if she can settle over this longer trip, Emily Wade may be capable of pulling out a bit more and getting involved as well. Dazzling Dove is not ruled out.
16:35 – Get Up Mush
Joe Dadancer is favoured by the weights and should go well back at 2m, while Annaharvey Lad can leave his recent rules debut well behind him in time. GET UP MUSH got off the mark at Wetherby last month though and he could take another step forward dropped to 2m for the first time.
17:05 – My Ticketyboo
The return to form of Breizh Alko (next best) adds a little more strength to what looks a weak contest, while Walk In The Storm is also respected. He hasn’t had much room to spare when winning twice at Fontwell but a repeat of either of those efforts may still prove good enough for MY TICKETYBOO to complete a hat-trick.
