THAT’S DAY 3 DONE, FOLKS. BUT DON’T MISS MORE TOP TIPS FOR FRIDAY AT CHELTENHAM:

Ryan McCue – 14.10 Cheltenham – Good Time Jonny

Looked to have been campaigned this season with this race in mind. His qualifying run for this was very good considering his preparation going into the race. GOOD TIME JONNY ran no race over an inadequate distance last time but his trainer is a dab hand at these types of races and he looks laid out.

Adam Killeen – 14:10 Cheltenham – Maxxum

MAXXUM looked much better than a handicapper winning a qualifier over Christmas. Has disappointed since but he had excuses and with Davy booked looks to have a massive chance here.

Daniel Collins – 14:10 Cheltenham – The Bosses Oscar

THE BOSSES OSCAR has two good efforts at the Festival from three visits and arrives here after bouncing back to form when qualifying for the Pertemps Final up at Musselburgh. He is now 6 lower than his 2nd in the race in 2021 with Ben Harvey taking off a further 5. He looks sure to run a solid race.

Joe Logue – 15:30 Cheltenham – Home by The Lee

A revelation this season HOME BY THE LEE doesn’t have the sexiest profile or running style and I think that’s why the market has overlooked him a bit. The focus of his wins this year have been more about the horses in behind him rather than the winner himself and he is now at 8-year-old and should be at his peak and he is certainly showing that on the track. He is genuine and will keeping finding, staying the trip well off what should be a strongly run race. There is question marks around a lot of these in the race and the most solid and in form in my opinion is Home By The Lee.

Sean O’Sullivan – 15:30 Cheltenham –  Teahupoo

In a race where most of the main principles have had less than ideal preps TEAHUPOO has no such concerns, the rain in the build up to the week should result in ideal conditions and I think he has a very good chance here.

Frank Hickey 17:30 Cheltenham – Beauport

Stumptown and Mr Incredible were well found in the antepost market but soft ground is a concern for Stumptown, as his improvement has coincided with getting on better ground, while Mr Incredible can be a bit temperamental. It wouldn’t surprise if either won but at the prices, I think it is worth playing BEAUPORT each way. He looked very good when winning a decent intermediate chase at Carlisle at the beginning of the season and found going up in grade against him in two starts since. He makes his handicap debut over fences here off a mark of 143 and it was only this time last year he was beating Boothill at Uttoxeter off a mark of 143, before going on to Aintree to hit the frame there off a mark of 148. Easy ground is a positive for him and he looks nailed on to hit the frame at least here.
