13:50 Ludlow – Fortunes Melody (Andrew Bladen)

FORTUNES MELODY came good over fences in quite valuable event at Worcester (2m4f, good) in the autumn. Hasn’t really kicked on from that success and was no match for clear winner when second at Uttoxeter (2m5f, good to soft) in January but will appreciate this ease in grade and is on a good mark.

15:25 Taunton – Mullinaree (Expert Eye)

MILLINAREE was second of 17 on handicap debut at Huntingdon (2m4f, good to soft) in January and occupied the same position at Sedgefield (2m4f, good) last Thursday, when clear with the winner. There’s every chance he’ll stay this far and he’s running before a 4lb rise kicks in. Likely player.

16:50 Newcastle – Pink Parfait (Postdata)

PINK PARFAIT was a 6f course novice winner in September and shaped well back from a break when keeping on for a never-nearer third on 7f Southwell handicap debut a week ago. Much less exposed than today’s opposition and looks capable of winning off this mark. Same trainer/jockey took this race last year.

17:15 Chelmsford – Sithchean (The Brigadier)

SITHCHEAN is the 12th foal and half-sister to nine winners including Master Of The Seas (7f-1m1f including UAE 2yo Group 2; 119), Latharnach (7f, including Listed; RPR 116) and Falls Of Lora (6.5f-9.5f including UAE Group 3; 108). Dam French/US 1m winner (including Listed; 109). With a top stable and probably doesn’t need to be anything special to pose a potent threat on debut.
