So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
14:15 Catterick – Mortlach (Andrew Bladen)
MORTLACH has a strike-rate of 5-12 over fences and was highly tried before making the most of a good opportunity at Newbury (2m handicap on good to firm). This looks another good piece of placing even with his penalties.
15:15 Catterick – Sabbathical (Postdata)
SABBATHICAL was winning for a fourth time over fences when nicely on top at Leicester 12 days ago (2m, good), for which he’s been raised 5lbs. Throws in some quiet runs now and again but he does enjoy this good ground. Has obvious claims.
16:15 Catterick – Betty Baloo (The Brigadier)
BETTY BALOO jumped well en route to winning comfortably here earlier in the month and the runner-up scored easily at Warwick last week. Looks well handicapped off just 2lb higher.
18:30 Southwell – Ramensky (Lee Sobot)
Having been gelded RAMENSKY made a successful return from four months off on AW debut at Wolverhampton (1m4f, Tapeta; first-time blinkers) this month. Not sure how strong the form is, though, with the other joint-favourite running poorly. Probably needs to progress again in order to figure on handicap debut.
