Horse Racing Tips: A 9/1 shout tops Tipman's best bets today

The week began with a bang!

Tipman had Fortescue at 10/3 in the 14:45 at Ayr and both Fostersisland (Ayr 15:50) and Visibility (Wolverhampton 17:30) placing in second. Let’s keep that good run going today.

FAZAYTE has been very unlucky not to have more career wins but has been running very consistently, not finishing outside the top 3 in his last 7 starts. Twice a winner over today’s trip so the step back up to this distance is a real positive and connections seem to have found a good opportunity here. Jockey claims 7lbs which is even more appealing and if continuing his consistent level of efforts he shouldn’t be far away today.

Leicester 15:30

TipMan Selection – CEst Quelequun
1.5 points each-way

A very weak looking handicap chase here sees CEST QUELEQUUN with a major opportunity to notch his second career win and back-to-back course wins after winning here last time out. His other win over hurdles and he’s still 3lb lower in the weights today so he looks well handicapped based on that form. Small yard but good form at the moment and David Bass booked for the ride is another positive. Both trainer and jockey have good records here and this one should have every chance today.

Southwell 17:00

ARZAAK put in a very decent effort here over course and distance last time out when running on strongly but unable to catch Another Angel in the end who just got the run on him. He’s got a good record here though and three of his career wins have come here while placing a further 10 times. A very open looking race this and a host of horses who have had a lot of career runs without winning too many, will require some luck in the running as he generally comes home strong but if the gap appears he can build on that effort last time out.
