17:30 – Walking On Clouds (NAP)
Vespasian has been threatening off this mark and he looks a key player, while Intervention and Algheed also come here in form and have conditions to suit. WALKING ON CLOUDS (NAP) is on a sharp upward curve this winter though and his latest Southwell success offered hope of even better. He can go in again, with Idoapologise perhaps the one to chase him home.

18:00 – Bobby Dassler
An uncompetitive novice. Angel Amadea wasn’t disgraced on her stable debut at Kempton ten days ago and can go well back at 6f but BOBBY DASSLER could be the answer. He couldn’t justify market support on his first start for Tom Clover two weeks ago, weakening over 7f, but even that run stacks up well in the context of today’s race.
18:30 – Blazeon Five
Military Two Step is a solid contender back here but BLAZEON FIVE is going great guns and could conceivably have bumped into one at Kempton last time. Smart Champion is third on the list.
19:00 – Farhh To Shy
Tylos could go either way for first-time cheekpieces and his tendency to go left is a worry from this draw. Jilly Cooper is much preferred and she looks sure to go well but it could be worth forgiving FARHH TO SHY a lesser effort at Southwell last time. Her previous run over C&D, on only her second AW start, was full of promise considering she had to be switched after travelling strongly, and she has a weights turnaround with Jilly Cooper. Keyser Soze is in form but he has it to prove against the 7f specialists.
19:30 – Plumette
Smiling Sunflower (second choice) won well here on last week’s stable debut but she was very slowly away and she will need to be more professional at the stalls back down at 7f. She’s still greatly respected, as is the consistent Piffle, but PLUMETTE did well to win here three weeks ago and may be able to defy her small rise in the weights.

20:00 – Noodle Mission
An interesting event with most of the field having something to recommend them. The eye is drawn to Tennessee Dream’s three wins last month and she could still have more to come but she’s taking on much sterner opposition this time. Silver Nightfall (second choice) and Star Of Mayo move into handicaps with untapped potential but NOODLE MISSION may be the answer. He fluffed his lines at Newcastle last time but he looked miles ahead of his opening mark when sauntering home over C&D on his handicap debut and this revised mark may not be beyond him.
20:30 – Bit Harsh
Spiritofthenorth catches the eye back from a break as he has won after a break and may well do better again this year but BIT HARSH‘s latest form has been strengthened by the subsequent successes of the joint-winner and the third (twice) and he looked to stay this trip when third behind one of Godolphin’s over C&D last spring. Dinoo, who didn’t get the best of runs on his first attempt over 1m4f last time, and Percy Willis are others who are worth a look.
