14:00 – Holetown Hero
The Paul Nicholls-trained HOLETOWN HERO got off the mark in good style here in December and is taken to follow up and defy a 7lb penalty. Future Investment is a big danger judged on his Chepstow second and is much better than he showed in a hot maiden at Cheltenham last time. Point and bumper winner Bold Reaction has to improve upon his first two hurdle runs but the wind op may have helped.

14:30 – Half Dozen (NAP)
Having been a very cosy winner in a first-time tongue-tie on his handicap debut at Hereford last Monday, HALF DOZEN (NAP) could be tough to beat under a 7lb penalty. Fellow last-time-out winner Give Me A Cuddle could settle better now in a hood and he is second choice, ahead of course specialist Amelia’s Dance.
15:00 – Milan Bridge
Having jumped better in first-time cheekpieces at Wincanton, when brought down mid-race, the unexposed 7yo MILAN BRIDGE earns the vote for Paul Nicholls. Le Cameleon may be the chief danger now back down in grade, and none of the others can be ruled out.
15:30 – Inspiratrice
The 4yo INSPIRATRICE showed that her 200-1 C&D win was no one-off when running creditably in a Listed race at Doncaster recently (hampered then unseated two out) and she’s the pick. Paddy Brennan appeared to find the best ground on the inside for Hidden Beauty at Doncaster but she won in good style and is feared most, ahead of the reopposing runner-up Passing Reflection.
16:00 – Flash Gorcombe
Folly Gate holds strong claims granted a clear round but that’s far from guaranteed and a chance is taken on the unexposed 6yo FLASH GORCOMBE. He was placed in points and heavy ground may not have been ideal on his chase debut. Folly Gate is feared most, ahead of last-time-out C&D winner Letsbe Avenue.

16:30 – Pleasant Man
Celtic Fortune, Prince Nino and Tango Arumba are interesting handicap newcomers, particularly the last-named, and the betting could be informative regarding their chances. However, preference is for PLEASANT MAN, who runs off the same mark as when short-headed on his recent handicap debut at Exeter. Just Loose Change won in good style at Worcester when last seen and could be the chief danger.
17:00 – Issar D’Airy
Fame And Fun looks good for a solid display but the conundrum is whether ISSAR D’AIRY will be in the same form as when showing dramatic improvement to justify favouritism at Lingfield last week. If so, he should be able to carry a penalty. Handicap newcomers Sassified, Just Another One, Let’s Go Amigo and Arthalot are worth investigating in the market.
