Closeness finished in front of Twistaline (second choice) and SIRIUS WHITE at Chelmsford 18 days ago but the latter pair tried to come from a long way back and may be able to reverse the placings today. Sirius White still appeals as the type to do a bit better and he gets the vote.

Leonna is worth a market check for a yard that’s made a flying start to the year but otherwise STRIKE ALLIANCE gets the vote, as he is 2lb better off with Ready Reckoner from two weeks ago and likely open to a bit more improvement than his old rival.
18:00 – Twilight Kiss
Plenty to consider in a trappy handicap, headed by TWILIGHT KISS, who’s shown enough from wide stalls in two runs over C&D this winter to suggest she’s up to winning off tonight’s mark. Finn Star and Opportunity Knocks are lightly raced and two more with claims.
18:30 – Measured Time
Charlie Appleby has won both previous runnings and could well make it three, with him responsible for the standard-setting Golden Speech and interesting newcomer MEASURED TIME. The latter, who’s a half-brother to Rebel’s Romance, is preferred as things stand, although market moves between the pair will be telling.
19:00 – Positive (NAP)
Imperial Sands was given a fine ride when beating a few of these rivals over C&D last month, slowing the pace mid-race and then kicking clear 2f from home. Pulling off those tactics a second time might be harder but he still looks more persuasive than many. Noisy Night (second choice) has to prove his stamina for 1m but he is 3-3 at the track and considered seriously. Baldomero and Via Serendipity can go well but topweight POSITIVE (NAP) still has some handicapping scope despite a 2lb rise for his latest Wolverhampton success and he can come out on top.

Several runners tie in with each other on recent form. First-time cheekpieces could make the difference for FIRST CHARGE, who gets the narrow call in a tight-looking event. Wannabe Brave, who had little to spare last time but looks open to further progress, is second choice. Bascinet goes back up in grade but holds solid-looking claims, while a few others also have clear possibilities.
20:00 – Later Darling
Tiger Beetle, Heath Rise, The Thunderer and Roscioli should all be seen to better effect now stepping back up in distance, while Royal Thunder (second choice) and Largo Bay also have something to recommend them. LATER DARLING ran well upped to this trip at Lingfield 19 days ago though and he may be able to shed his maiden tag today.
20:30 – Krypton Gold
Big Jimbo shaped well here last month after a long absence and remains capable of better, while Princess Nieve (second choice) and Anwick Castle also have the ability to rate higher in time. KRYPTON GOLD hasn’t run on the Flat for some time but he has developed into a fair hurdler for this yard and could prove favourably treated back in this code.
