13:30 Doncaster – Nusret
It’s really interesting that Joseph O’Brien sends Nusret here as he was so impressive at Punchestown and, getting weight from Scriptwriter, I feel has to be the selection. Joseph will have a handle on Scriptwriter as well because his dad trained him.
FANCY A CHANCE TO WIN £/€25K?
13:50 Cheltenham – War Lord
War Lord has got some very good form that ties in with Edwardstone from last season and we all saw what he did last weekend winning the Tingle Creek so I think this horse is not badly handicapped in this sphere. It was a very good run at Aintree in a grade 1 over 2 1/2 and he showed up well at Exeter and surely has to be a player round here. I am not convinced Il Ridoto is an out-and-out stayer so this stiffer track may not suit. Fantastic Lady is a good filly and bolted up in a listed race at Market Rasen. I think she could be the other value play in this contest.
14:25 Cheltenham – Epatante
It’s hard to believe Epatante is only eight as she seems to have been around forever but that was a very good run behind Constitution Hill at Newcastle. She is strong around here and gets 5lbs and more from some of her rivals. I Like To Move It won nicely last time and he is a young improver. Knappers Hill impressed me at Wincanton beating the course specialist Sceau Royal easily in a fast time but I’m sticking with Epatante.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
14:40 Doncaster – Maninsane
Lilly Pinchin rides Maninsane, taking 3lbs off. He was a good winner last time and the form got a boost with the third that day winning at Lingfield earlier in the week.
15:00 Cheltenham – Grand Soir
John McConnell has a great record at the track and you always have to respect his runners at Cheltenham and Grand Soir will definitely stay. Sometimes this race turns into a bit of war and I think this lad is a bit of value against the top two, Outlaw Peter and Weveallbeencaught.

15:15 Doncaster – Gavroche D’allier
This is a terrible race but somebody has to win it and Gavroche D’allier has been running okay in Maiden hurdles. Rated only 94 with cheek pieces on first time he has to be a player.
15:35 Cheltenham – Martello Sky
Lucy Wadham’s charge Martello Sky won this race last year and amazingly runs off the very same handicap mark as then. She just didn’t get home at Kempton as she pulled very hard in the early part of that race. Theatre Glory is the obvious danger. She got on a real roll last year winning at Huntingdon Warwick Castle and here at Cheltenham in April. She skipped round the track then and she is a good filly, but I just feel Martello Sky is the one.
