Though quite possibly flattered by the 12lb rise imposed for a Navan second, CONGO RIVER is hard to oppose now that he has put a poor Galway run behind him. Heartrate and Invincible Cry have potential for improvement, and Jer Batt has run well twice.

Very open and a chance is taken on SOUNDS OF SPRING, a winner on his return from a summer break last autumn on soft ground and racing off only a marginally higher mark here on his first run since May. The list of likely dangers is headed by the likes of Pretty Rebel, Shawaamekh, Iva Batt and Heavenly Power.

Second on his recent debut at the Curragh, KING OF SCOTIA may be a little too sharp for Skip James who ran well at Fairyhouse in May but has not been seen since. Imadpour should not be far away. Dark Side may prove best of the newcomers.

Top weight GOA GAJAH was beaten by a well-regarded filly at Roscommon and may be capable of conceding weight to all six rivals. Three of these clashed in a Curragh nursery under three weeks ago, and fourth-placed Hasten Slowly may emerge best in the rematch with winner Bossy Parker and third Palace Gardens.
19:15 Miracles In May
Another fiendishly difficult handicap. MIRACLES IN MAY finished well at Roscommon, having had to wait for an opening and although his wins have come at 1m the likely slower ground here should make it more of a test. He gets the vote ahead of Rose Of Malta and Clarinbridge, with Glandore Harbour a potential improver dropped in trip.
