14:25 Goodwood – Ascot Adventure
ASCOT ADVENTURE was a good winner at Salisbury last year on soft ground, so can handle most conditions. I’m not sure how soft it’s going to be at Goodwood as despite the earlier rain, the forecast is very dry. He ran ok at Doncaster over 7 furlongs last time after a 60-day break and has a very strong chance in this heat.
14:40 Beverley – Tis Marvellous
TIS MARVELLOUS won this race last year but has not run since finishing mid division in the Kings Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot. Any of those that finished around him that day, would probably be favourite far this race if they re-opposed, so he has solid credentials. His trainer Clive Cox is in much better form now as it’s been a stop-start season. He can back up last year’s win.

15:15 Newmarket – Summerghand
Another looking to back up a win in the same race last season is David O’Meara’s SUMMERGHAND. He’s the type of horse that when he gets on a roll is not one you want to dismiss lightly, and is very solid in a race like this after getting his head in front last weekend at York after many promising efforts during the season.
It has been a really good year for horses running in the Shadwell Estate colours and I fully expect MUTASSABEQ to continue that good run. A solid performer this season, you have to feel that this is the perfect opportunity for him.
