It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.
14:18 FFos Las – Let’s Have A Flyer (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
LET’S HAVE A FLYER seemed stretched by 6f on good to soft in June but returned from a break with a promising third over 5f at Thirsk, where she would have finished closer with a clearer run. Looks well worth another go at 6f and is open to improvement now handicapping.
16:10 Navan – Pale Moonlight (Irish Herald, Ian Gaughran)
PALE MOONLIGHT was a 1m nursery winner last season. Just touched off in a 1m4f handicap at Galway, form franked by the long-priced winner Star Image in winning readily at the Curragh last Saturday. Up 4lb but useful 5lb claimed here.
17:45 Newcastle – Emaraty Hero (The Scotsman, Glendale)
EMARATY HERO recorded two 1m4f wins at the end of last summer and this reliable sort arrives on the back of three creditable efforts, the latest in race six of this series at Doncaster three weeks ago. Blinkers worn on that occasion are quickly discarded. Has form on this surface and another prominent showing is on the cards.
20:15 Newcastle – Badri (Daily Record, Garry Owen)
BADRI has been revitalised by the return to AW of late, winning impressively at Southwell last month and finding only a rapid improver too strong back there 11 days ago. Should make another bold bid.
