WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
13:50 – Have Secret
Has shown promise in all three of his qualifying runs and there should be more to come from him today on his nursery debut. HAVE SECRET is nicely drawn in stall 2 and the return to seven furlongs could also unlock a bit more improvement. A BHA mark of 71 looks a good starting point to life in this sphere and Have Secret rates a solid selection to open his account.
14:20 – Endeared
Stepped up on his debut effort when filling the runner-up spot at Doncaster last time, staying on well despite being intimidated near the finish. ENDEARED passed the post just a head behind the winner and a repeat of that form will give him every chance of getting off the mark in this novice, with further progress also likely now stepping back up in trip.
14:55 – Ventura Diamond
Ran no sort of race when down the field on her reappearance at Haydock in May, but she is a useful filly on her day, as she showed when third in a Group 3 at Ascot last October. She has been given a short break since Haydock and Richard Fahey is likely to have had this listed heat in mind for a while having won three of the last seven editions. VENTURA DIAMOND is well drawn in stall 1 and goes very well in the mud, so any rain would boost her chance.
15:30 – Yanifer
Has won his last two starts in good style, with YANIFER first getting off the mark for the season at Doncaster in June and then producing a career-best effort to follow up at this course three weeks ago. He got the job done with a bit to spare last time, sticking to his task well to land the spoils by two and a half lengths. The longer trip today won’t be an issue and a further 6 lb rise in the weights might not be enough to stop him in his hat-trick bid.
16:00 – Rogue Spirit
Produced another solid effort when last seen finishing third in the Super Sprint at Newbury, doing well to be beaten only two and a quarter lengths having shaped as if the emphasis on speed was against him. ROGUE SPIRIT looks ready for a step up to six furlongs and it’s not out of the question that he may yet have more to offer anyway after just four starts. He has already won twice and should mount a bold bid to get his head back in front in what looks an interesting contest.

16:30 – Wynter Wildes
WYNTER WILDES still looked a bit rough around the edges when filling the runner-up spot over this course and distance last time, leading briefly inside the final furlong before being pegged back by an in-form veteran. She was still beaten just a neck and the way she shaped there suggests the run is likely to bring her on again. A BHA mark of 77 still looks workable and there is no reason at all why she shouldn’t give another good account.
17:00 – Cormier
Was progressive on the Flat last year and since then CORMIER has developed into a useful hurdler, notably winning the Morebattle Hurdle at Kelso in March. He clearly possesses plenty of talent and it will be interesting to see what he can do now back on the level. It will certainly be a surprise if he isn’t capable of winning races from a BHA mark of 80 and the booking of Harry Russell (who is good value for his 3 lb claim) also catches the eye.
