14:45 Wolverhampton – Fearless Bay (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
FEARLESS BAY signed off for 2021 with 1m2f win at Chelmsford and resumed from five months off (also gelded) with creditable fifth in 1m2f Nottingham handicap 11 days ago. Cheekpieces go on for his Tapeta debut and he’s much respected.
17:10 Ascot – Yazaman (Ipswich Stat, Matt Polley)
YAZAMAN hasn’t won since his debut but he had some useful form as a 2yo. Has not hit top gear for new connections and although he was staying on well at Newmarket last time, he lacked the pace to lay up over this trip.
17:55 Punchestown – Allaho (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)
ALLAHO has become a specialist over the intermediate trip in recent seasons, bolting up in the last two renewals of the Ryanair and also landed another Grade 1 in the John Durkan here in December. The return to this trip poses a question but he might get away with it on decent ground and he could be hard to peg back.
19:05 Punchestown – Cavalry Master (Irish Herald, Ian Gaughran)
CAVALRY MASTER won four novice events last summer from 2m4f-7f but was below that level in the Munster National and Paddy Power Chase since. Back after a break now with cheekpieces and tongue-tie added.
