13:00 – Burn the Evidence
BURN THE EVIDENCE was beaten at very short odds on her most recent outing at Musselburgh, but it’s far too soon to be writing her off after just one bad run. She had looked a good prospect when making a successful hurdling debut at Fairyhouse in February, drawing clear in the straight to land the spoils by 21 lengths. A repeat of that form will give her every chance of getting back to winning ways here.

13:30 – Theatre Legend
THEATRE LEGEND has dropped to a very fair mark judged on the pick of his efforts, now 8 lb lower in the weights than when registering his last win in March 2021. The way he shaped at Newcastle last time suggests he will be suited by the return to two and a half miles today and he has also had a breathing operation in the interim. In a wide-open contest, he is well worth another chance to get off the mark for the season.
14:05 – Midnight Moss
MIDNIGHT MOSS left the impression he retains all his ability when third at Wetherby last time, just his second outing since returning from 720 days on the sidelines. He was beaten 12 lengths and arguably shaped a bit better than the bare result, only tiring late on after a big move into contention on the home turn. He is entitled to strip fitter again here and there should be races to be won with him over fences from a BHA mark of 113.
14:40 – No Risk Des Flos
NO RISK DES FLOS has won his last two starts at Wetherby in very similar fashion, getting the verdict by a neck both times and looking value for extra on the most recent occasion after idling on the run-in. The fact he doesn’t win by far should allow him to stay one step ahead of the handicapper and a 3 lb rise in the weights for his latest victory is certainly fair. Olly Murphy was among the winners at Perth on Wednesday and No Risk des Flos is very much one to follow in his hat-trick bid.

15:15 – Alnadam
ALNADAM is in danger of becoming frustrating to follow, but this could be the day that it all comes together. He’s not yet fully exposed as a chaser at mid-range trips and the application of first-time cheekpieces could also spark a revival. He lines up here from the same mark as when registering his last success at Sandown in February 2021 and it’s worth pointing out that several of his rivals arrive with just as many questions to answer.
15:50 – Boss Man Fred
BOSS MAN FRED proved at least as good as ever when getting back to winning ways at Warwick last month, hitting the front before the last and keeping on well from there to land the spoils by over a length. This will be tougher from a 4 lb higher mark, but he may yet have more to offer when stamina is at a premium. Indeed, he looks a thorough stayer who is likely to be staying on strongly when others have cried enough.

16:20 – Annies Regatta
ANNIES REGATTA was no match for the winner on her latest outing at Carlisle, but she stuck to her task well to fill the runner-up spot a little way clear of the rest. That was just her second start in a handicap and she has now dropped to a BHA mark of 82. That looks more realistic for a mare of her ability and she won’t need to improve much if at all here to play a leading role.
16:55 – Bridge Road
BRIDGE ROAD ran no sort of race when making his handicap debut at Musselburgh in February, but he had a valid excuse given that he returned lame. He has been given a break since and the form he showed in novice hurdles earlier this season suggests he should be capable of winning a low-grade handicap. It will be interesting to see whether the market speaks in his favour once again.
