Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
13:40 Windsor – Enlightenment (The Racing Post)
Fair And Square should give it another good go from the front and he’s greatly respected, while the class-dropping Sienna Bonnie, handicap debutante Sparked and Battle Point also come into the reckoning. ENLIGHTENMENT was well supported prior to her successful handicap debut at Wolverhampton last month though and a 3lb rise may well underestimate her.
15:35 Kelso – Bavington Bob (The Sun)
Top of the list is Ann Hamilton’s progressive 7yo BAVINGTON BOB, who completed a hat-trick with his strong-finishing win at Carlisle in February and may well be able to strike again here to make it 4-5 over fences. Broadway Joe has form figures of 111222 in this sphere and could pose a serious threat if he copes with this step back up in trip. Another to keep an eye on is four-time chase winner Get Out The Gate, who looks interesting off a dangerous mark back over fences.
16:45 Kelso – Takethepunishment (The Times)
The one that appeals most is the lightly raced 12yo TAKETHEPUNISHMENT, who has finished first or second in nine of his 12 points and looks a big player on this switch to regulation fences. The pick of the opposition is triple point winner Alone No More, who was not beaten far in this race last year.
16:53 Redcar – Al Qaasim (Sky Sports)
It may be best to concentrate on the in-form contenders AL QAASIM, Kingson and Cathayensis in that order of preference. Al Qaasim ran well back on turf last time and has solid claims, while Kingson warrants respect returned to this sphere and Cathayensis has a good chance provided she’s suited by the new trip/surface.
Monday’s Lucky 15 Tips:
13:40 Windsor – Enlightenment
15:35 Kelso – Bavington Bob
16:45 Kelso – Takethepunishment
16:53 Redcar – Al Qaasim
