17:20 – Drunk in Love
Just two more Friday nights to go at Dundalk for the Winter Series and we start with a 5f two-year-old maiden. Jessica Harrington won the first two-year-old maiden of the season at the Curragh last weekend. From what I hear, Drunk In Love for the Amo Racing Limited syndicate and trainer Michael O’Callaghan could have a leading chance.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
17:50 – Inflection Point
An apprentice-only claiming race where 11 are declared and James McAuley saddles four of them. Sister Lola is consistent but has had a busy campaign where Inflection Point drops to claiming company and the Adrian McGuinness stable are in top form. He’s the highest rated in the field and could take some beating after a very good run when second to Prisoner’s Dilemma over 6f last time.
18:20 – Movie King
The 2m handicap features course specialist Lady of Luxury but her best form is at shorter than this trip. Nusra steps up in trip and has only really being getting going over 12f so could improve for the extra four furlongs while Colin Keane has been booked for Hammersmith who has yet to prove he really likes the polytrack surface. If you put a line through Movie King’s last run, he has to have a huge chance particularly that he’s been drawn in stall three. Robbie Colgan takes the ride.

18:50 – Rosscarbery
A 1m maiden that mixes a few newcomers with a couple that have had a run. Cristal Clere should set the pace and could set it up for Golden Lyric or one I’ve marked down as my best bet of the night, Rosscarbery. Now trained by Paddy Twomey she’s got a good draw in stall one and has plenty of Group form as she drops into maiden company.
19:20 – Dark Street
Dark Street has only had six runs to date and was badly drawn the last time when staying on well to finish fourth to Linus Larrabee. Wayne Lordan takes the ride and given he’s drawn in stall one now under Wayne Lordan, he’s bound to go very well. Chris Hayes rode him that night but swaps to Eddie Lynam’s Chevillon who hasn’t run for 476 days.

19:50 – Changingoftheguard
A 10f handicap where Warren Beach has a rating of 95 but hasn’t justified it. I’d have him closer to a low 80’s bracket to be honest and am more interested in the Aidan O’Brien-trained Changingoftheguard.
The Ballydoyle string look to be well forward and the son of Galileo looks the one to beat and is my other best bet on the night. The newcomer Chicago Storm is one to watch going forward.
20:20 – Wave Walker
A 10f handicap ends the card and Colin Keane gets the leg up on Wave Walker who has been placed at this track and trip in the past. The reigning Irish Champion jockey doesn’t ride for John McConnell that often so it’s an eye-catching jockey booking at the foot of the weights. Pretty Little Liar usually attracts support when fancied.
