The suggestion is BOASTY, who nearly justified strong market support at Wolverhampton on his debut for Ivan Furtado and looks likely to build on that effort. With all those twos next to his name, the aptly named Blazer Two seems an obvious second choice and it’ll be interesting to see whether first-time headgear squeezes out improvement from him. Catch My Breath has a good chance if the cards drop right, while Fen Tiger and possible improver Supersonique are also on the shortlist.

16:05 – Wrath Of Hector
Mashaan put in a dominant display at Lingfield on his penultimate run and could be a handful if he gets an easy lead. Critical Thinking should go well again on his return to Polytrack, while Vape has possibilities on his stable debut and Tyche is respected on her drop back in trip. However, the vote goes to Mick Appleby’s WRATH OF HECTOR, who cashed in on a reduced mark with a brave win at Southwell last time and is only 1lb higher here.
16:40 – Love Poems
The lightly raced mare LOVE POEMS has an attractive profile, being a C&D winner who looks open to further improvement. She gets the vote back at this venue, with Dereham second choice ahead of Hackberry. On racecourse evidence Dubai Emperor has a stamina doubt but his pedigree suggests otherwise and he’s not ruled out.
17:10 – Storm Asset
Top of the list is STORM ASSET, who is 3-5 since cheekpieces have been applied and was only narrowly denied at Wolverhampton last week. He now returns to sprinting but this free-going sort is on the same mark as last time and has leading claims if he can repeat that form. Reckon I’m Hot returned from a break with a near miss at Lingfield last month and he’s feared most on his step back up in trip. Others to consider are Music Banner and the handicap newcomer Giselle’s Izzy.

17:45 – Henery Hawk
Jungle Run and Good To Go look major contenders provided they are as effective back over 6f. HENERY HAWK and Theoretical are open to progress now handicapping, while Argirl needs a close look on her debut for a new stable. Preference for Henery Hawk is just tentative.
18:15 – Blue Flame
The lightly raced BLUE FLAME (nap) has a solid record since handicapping and looks capable of further improvement. His main threats may be the consistent Stopnsearch and dual C&D scorer Almaan, in that order.

18:45 – Mr Professor
There is very little between Blue Trail, Harrow and Find on Kempton running 29 days ago, and with such fine margins this interesting rematch could go any of the three ways. A tempting alternative is the useful MR PROFESSOR, who is 1-1 on AW and whose sole start under Silvestre De Sousa resulted in a Listed turf success.
19:15 – Cuban Breeze
There could be even more to come from CUBAN BREEZE, who has done well since joining David Evans and produced a career-best performance last time. Expert Opinion is a solid second choice, ahead of La Roca Del Fuego, Dark Side Prince and Atiyah in that order.
