17:30 – Abduction
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
18:00 – NAJAT
Top of the list is the Crisford-trained NAJAT, who made a bright start with her impressive win at Thirsk last June and had a tough assignment in a Listed race in her final 2yo run. This well-bred filly still has plenty of potential and she looks a major player back in much calmer waters on her return to action. Brides Bay showed clear promise in her three runs in the autumn and she’s feared most, ahead of the ex-Irish filly Obtain.
18:30 – High Velocity
There are several interesting contenders in the line-up but the one that appeals most is HIGH VELOCITY, who made it 2-3 with his emphatic win at Newcastle last month and is open to more progress back up in trip on his handicap debut. Second choice is another handicap newcomer in Foxy Rascal who represents a yard that won this last year. Others on the shortlist are Little Prayer, who has been knocking on the door at Lingfield recently, and Red Showgirl, who battled well when making all at Kempton last time.
19:00 – Nellie French
Preference is for dual C&D winner NELLIE FRENCH, who knuckled down well when scoring at Newcastle on her penultimate run and things didn’t go her way against a pace bias there last time. Second choice is Qaaraat, who has reached the frame several times on Tapeta this winter including when a close fourth at Southwell 11 days. Others to consider in an open race are First Verse and Mr Pc.

19:30 – Raabeh
This looks a bit trappy but it might be worth sticking with RAABEH, who got off the mark with a strong-finishing win in a similar race at Southwell 11 days ago and is a big player if he can repeat that form. Dirchill was a front-running second over 6f last month and he looks the main danger on his drop back in trip, though Giant Steps is unexposed over 5f and has possibilities if he can build on his close fifth behind the selection last time.
20:00 – Celtic Art
King Of The South ran well in the Winter Derby Trial last time and he’s respected back in a 1m4f handicap, but preference is for CELTIC ART, who made it 2-4 for Jeremy Scott with a brave win at Lingfield last month and remains feasibly treated off his revised mark. Triple course winner Clap Your Hands looks interesting on his step back up in trip, while another to consider is Protected Guest, who ran into some trouble before finishing a close third behind the selection 16 days ago.

20:30 – Scarborough Castle
David Simcock’s SCARBOROUGH CASTLE has a progressive profile at this trip and he can return to winning ways, perhaps at the expense of Avarice.
