13:00 – Lovely Moon
Handicap debutant Bak Rocky went close in a Hexham maiden in December and is open to improvement but it might be worth chancing LOVELY MOON, who ran well to a point on his recent stable debut at Catterick and, if his Irish form is a guide, might be seen to better effect on this stiffer, right-handed course. Made For You should also be involved, while Happy Hollow can pose a threat if boosted by the addition of cheekpieces.

13:35 – Houston Texas
Rightplacerightime has clear claims for an Irish stable that rarely leaves empty-handed on its forays to Britain but he has to concede lots of weight to HOUSTON TEXAS, a recent course winner with a progressive profile. Behindthelines is also expected to feature.
14:10 – Masked Crusader
Parisencore probably won’t go down without a fight but the one to beat is MASKED CRUSADER, who posted a good effort when second over C&D on his recent stable/hurdle debut and ought to build on that performance.
14:45 – Trooper Turnbull
The one with most potential is low-mileage 8yo TROOPER TURNBULL (nap), who has made a promising start to his chasing career. Rose Dobbin’s runner finished only third of five when favourite at Newcastle last time but still performed very well. Armattiekan was in good form when last seen in the autumn but soft ground is not ideal for him. Conversely, conditions should suit Ard Chros but Relkadam is nominated as second choice.

15:20 – Skyhill
Camp Belan has made a promising start to his chasing career and can probably win soon but SKYHILL scored with quite a bit more authority than his eventual 1l margin over Gipsy Lee Rose might suggest here three weeks ago, and Alison Hamilton’s 9yo is taken to overcome a 6lb rise. No Cruise Yet is in form and should also feature.
15:55 – Duty Calls
The two last-time-out winners Gamesters Icon and Old Jewry are respected but dual Irish point winner DUTY CALLS ran well when fourth in a stronger race than this at Kelso in December and today’s drop back in trip might enable him to collect a first success over hurdles.
16:30 – Tim Pat
Dual chase winner Pitempton Power might still have more improvement to come, while Philip Kirby’s two runners, Sunset West and En Meme Temps, have shown enough over fences this season to suggest they can threaten off their current marks if all goes to plan. However, the answer might be last-time-out hurdle winner TIM PAT, who now turns his attention to chasing.
